The Niederlausitzer soccer championship 1900/01 was the first Niederlausitzer soccer championship organized by the Niederlausitzer Ballspiel-Vereine (VNBV). The VNBV was founded in the spring of 1900, initially eight associations belonged to it. The championship held in the round- robin tournament was secured by SC Alemannia Cottbus . There has not yet been a German football championship played across Germany . After some teams had already withdrawn between November 1900 and January 1901, the association was dissolved in the spring. An attempt at resuscitation in September 1901 failed and the association was not re-established until January 14, 1904.
