Niederlausitzer football championship 1905/06
The Niederlausitzer football championship 1905/06 was the third and last of the Niederlausitzer Ballspiel-Vereine (VNBV) organized Niederlausitzer football championship. Once again, the individual classes were held in a round-robin tournament with six teams (1st class) and five teams (2nd class). The third and fourth grade consisted of the second and third teams of the association members. The season started on September 24, 1905 and ended in March 1906. Niederlausitzer football championship was the first time the FV Brandenburg Cottbus and thus qualified for a play-off for participation in the German football championship 1905/06 . In this game Cottbus met the winner of the Association of Breslauer Ballspiel-Vereine , SC Schlesien Breslau , and lost this game played on April 1, 1906 in Dresden with 1: 3.
This was the last football championship of the VNBV. On March 18, 1906, the association founded the Southeast German Football Association (SOFV) together with the Association of Breslauer Ballspiel-Vereine . From then on, the Niederlausitz clubs played within the SOFV in the Niederlausitz district .
