Interior of the museum

The Lower Rhine Motorcycle Museum, based in Moers- Asberg, was a privately run motorcycle museum that existed from 1985 to 2008.

The exhibition comprised a good 300 motorcycles and roughly the same number of motorcycle engines. The collection included extraordinary types such as a Hildebrand and Wolfmüller , a white Mars , a Mabeco or a D-wheel combination with a wood carburetor .

The museum was directed by Anton Schuth and his wife Käthe. Anton Schuth died just two days after the 20th birthday of the Lower Rhine Motorcycle Museum on May 26, 2005. In early 2008, his widow had to close the museum for economic reasons. Most of the vehicles were sold to a museum in the Netherlands.
