Imshausen Community

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Imshausen community is an ecumenical community in Imshausen near Bebra , Hesse .

In the community women and men live together according to a Christian order rule . Ecumenical contacts with communities in other countries, especially in Eastern Europe, are a particular concern of the community.

history

The community was established at Easter 1955, when Vera von Trott zu Solz , a sister of Adam von Trott , and the theologian Hans Eisenberg had expressed their "commitment" with another sister and a brother. The impetus for this step towards common commitment came from the contact with the young communities of Taizé , France and Grandchamp , Switzerland.
