Lower Saxony Lexicon (2004)

The Lower Saxony Lexicon is a lexicon about Lower Saxony . The work with illustrations and graphics, published in 2004 in the first edition by Wiesbadener Verlag für Sozialwissenschaften , comprises 317 pages and was given ISBN 3-531-14403-0 . The work was edited by the sociologist Peter Hoffmann and Edmund Budrich and written by almost 80 experts from science and administration. Around 140 key word contributions deal with topics from society, politics, law and economy, including the "representation of Lower Saxony as a political entity and its economic and social structure as well as questions about culture and leisure, but also [...] topics such as educational policy, extremism or unemployment" at the beginning of the 21st century. The lexicon was published by the Lower Saxony State Center for Political Education and was the last publication before it was temporarily closed.
