Niflhel

Niflhel is a mythological place in Norse mythology that lies behind the Hel's realm of the dead .

It is described in the 43rd stanza of the Wafthrudnir song as the place to which all those who died in the Hel arrive . In Balder's Dreams it is also mentioned in the 2nd stanza as the place where Odin, disguised as Wegtam, visits a dead seer in order to bring her back to life and to learn from her the meaning of the dreams of his son Balder .
