Nigella Saunders

Nigella Jekyll Saunders (born December 7, 1979 ) is a badminton player from Jamaica .

Career

At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , Nigella Saunders took part in the individual badminton tournament . In the first round she lost to Mia Audina from the Netherlands with 0-2 sets. She was and is Jamaica's only badminton Olympic participant to date.

In 1999 she won two titles with the Puerto Rico International . In 2001 she won all three possible titles at the Carebaco Championships . At the Pan American Games in 2003 she won the women's singles competition and was third in mixed with Charles Pyne .

At national championships she managed to win the single and double title (there with Alya Lewis ) in the years from 2005 to 2009 .
