Nijinsky Prize
The Nijinsky Prize (French: Prix Nijinsky, named after the legendary Polish-Russian dancer Vaslav Nijinsky ) has become one of the most coveted awards for dancers and choreographers only a short time after its introduction . It is awarded every two years as part of the Monaco Dance Forum founded by Princess Caroline of Monaco in 2000 in five categories:
- Best dancer
- Best dancer
- Best choreographer
- Most promising choreographer
In addition, honorary prizes are awarded for life's work.
The winners are selected by an international jury made up of over one hundred professionals from the world of dance. There is also experimentation with public participation via the Internet .
