Nikephorus II (Patriarch)
Nikephoros II. (Greek Νικηφόρος Β΄ ; † 1261 ) was Patriarch of Constantinople 1260–1261.
Life
Nikephorus was metropolitan of Ephesus . In 1260, after the resignation of Arsenios Autoreianos, he became the patriarch of Constantinople . There is no news about his term of office.
He died in early 1261, supposedly on the day Constantinople was retaken . Arsenios Autoreianos then took over the office again.
