The Nikitin Glacier ( Russian Ледник Афана́сия Ники́тина Lednik Afanassija Nikitina ) is a glacier on the English coast of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It flows east of the Lidke Ice Stream in a northerly direction to Stange Sound .
The Academy of Sciences of the USSR named it in 1987 after the Russian traveler Afanassi Nikitin († 1472), who had traveled to Africa and India between 1466 and 1472 .
