The Niklasdorftunnel is a double-tube motorway tunnel on the Semmering expressway near Niklasdorf ( Leoben district ) in Upper Styria. He drives around the place in the south. Due to the strong movements of the mountain, a long crack developed in the inner shell of the north tube, which necessitated immediate provisional rehabilitation (reinforcement with shotcrete). Since the technical equipment no longer corresponds to the state of the art, the tunnel will be completely renovated from mid-2011.
