Nikola Gabrowski
Nikola Christow Gabrowski ( Bulgarian Никола Христов Габровски ; born September 6, 1864 in Veliko Tarnowo ; † July 11, 1925 ibid) was a Bulgarian politician .
Life
He studied law and social sciences in Geneva and graduated in 1887. Gabrowski became a close collaborator of Dimityr Blagoew , with whom he created the program and statute of a Marxist party. Together with Blagoev he founded the Bulgarian Social Democratic Party in 1891 . Until 1894 he was a member of the central committee of the party, after which he worked as an editor. In 1903 the party he founded split. He initially joined the right wing, but switched to the Marxist left in 1914. In 1925 he was killed by the police.
In his hometown of Veliko Tarnovo, a monument was erected for him that shows him together with Blagoev.
