Nikolaj Nenow Nenowski (also written Nikolay Nenov Nenovsky , Bulgarian Николай Ненов Неновски ; born July 26, 1963 in Veliko Tarnowo ) is a Bulgarian economist .

Life

Nenowski studied economics at Moscow's Lomonosov University from 1984–1989 and economics and finance in France and Switzerland from 1990–1996. He defended his doctoral thesis in 1995 at the Economics Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences .

From 1988 to 1989 he worked at the Council for Mutual Economic Aid in Moscow . In 1994 he worked as a finance specialist at SOGENAL in Luxembourg. Since 1997 he has been teaching monetary theory and international finance at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia , Chair of “Finance and Accounting”. He has also been a lecturer at the University of Orléans since 2000 . Since 2006 he has been an associate researcher at the International Center for Economic Research (ICER) in Turin . Nikolay Nenovsky has been a professor at the University (Université de Picardie) in Amiens since September 1, 2012.

He has worked at the Bulgarian National Bank since 1996 and was a member of the Board of Governors from 2002 to 2008. He is also a founding member of the “Bulgarian Macroeconomic Society” (2003) and the Bulgarian Society “ Friedrich Hayek ” (2002). He is a son of Neno Nenowski, a Bulgarian lawyer and member of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Nikolaj Nenowski's main research areas are monetary theory and policy , the history of economic thought and political economy. He also deals with the currency board issues in Bulgaria.
