Nikolaus Hilghemann

Nikolaus Hilghemann († 1420 ), also Hilgheman , was the mayor of Greifswald .

Nikolaus Hilghemann was a son of Arnold Hilgheman from his first marriage. He became a councilor in 1395 and was chamberlain from 1400 to 1409. From 1412 to 1415 he was provisional for the Heiliggeist and Georgshospital. In 1419 he was elected mayor alongside his uncle Johann Hilghemann .

Nikolaus Hilgheman first came with his brothers Arnold († 1465) and Jakob into joint ownership of their father's farm, which in 1410 became the property of Arnold. Nikolaus owned a house each on Knopfstrasse and Fischstrasse.

He died between July 17th and Michaelmas 1420.
