Nicomedes II
Nicomedes II. Epiphanes († 128/127 BC) was king of Bithynia from 149 to 128/127 BC. Chr.
Nicomedes came to power after an uprising against his father Prusias II , whom he defeated and killed in alliance with Attalus II of Pergamon after long battles. When Pergamon was confiscated in 133 BC BC - Attalus III. had bequeathed Pergamon to the Romans in his will - he supported Rome against the pretender to the throne Aristonikos , but did not receive the hoped-for profit.
