Nikostratos (athlete)

Nikostratos was a famous Greek athlete from Prymnessos in Phrygia who lived in the first half of the 1st century AD . During the 204th Olympiad (37 AD) he won both wrestling and pankration in one day and with this performance is listed as the eighth and last Paradoxonikes after Herakles in the list of Olympians. He is mentioned by Quintilian and Tacitus in their writings.
