Prymnessos

Prymnessos was a Greek city in Phrygia on a tributary of the Kaystros . Located at an important intersection, it was important as a trading town.

Prymnessos is located near today's place Sülün, about eight kilometers south of the Turkish provincial capital Afyonkarahisar . The settlement hill is to the east of the village, on its top there is a tekke built from Spolia stones, and the remains of a theater are visible on its eastern slope. The martyrdom of Ariadne is said to have taken place in Prymnessos at the time of the emperors Hadrian and Antoninus . On most of the city's coins, Dikaiosyne (justice) is depicted with a scale and ears of corn, she is considered the main deity of the city.
