Nipṭasan
Nipṭasan ( Punic NPṬSN), son of Schafot , was a Punic or Numidian architect who worked in the middle of the 2nd century BC. In the Numidian city of Thugga .
Nipṭasan built together with the architect Ḥanno 139-138 BC. A temple donated by the citizens of the city for the cult of the late King Massinissa . His name can be found on an undecorated limestone cuboid on which there is a bilingual in Punic and Numidian .
The inscription was found immediately west of the Capitol on the place of the wind rose , which is why the limestone cube is assigned to a limestone building on the city's forum that has only survived in remains. The condition of the building does not allow a reconstruction, however, due to structural features and ceramic finds, it can be safely traced back to the second century BC. To date.
