Nippon Gōsei Kagaku Kōgyō KK ( Japanese 日本 合成 化学 工業 株式会社 , ~ Kabushiki-gaisha , English The Nippon Synthetic Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. ) is a Japanese chemical company. The main product is SoarnoL , an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer . Further products are Gohsenol ( polyvinyl alcohol ), Nichigo G-Polymer ( butenediol-vinyl alcohol copolymer), Specialty Films ( Hi-Selon & Bovlon ) and Nichigo G-Tape .

The company was founded in 1927 as KK Nippon Gōsei Kagaku Kenkyūsho ( 株式会社 日本 合成 化学 研究所 ) and received its current name in 1928. Japan's first vinyl acetate was produced in 1936 .

In 1994 a factory for the production of SoarnoL in the USA was acquired ( La Porte ). In 2004, another plant was built for this in Kingston upon Hull .
