Nitto Denko is a Japanese company in the chemical industry. Nitto Denko mainly produces adhesive tapes, foils and insulating filler material for special applications. The former Nitto Electric Industrial Company started operations in Ōsaki in Tokyo Prefecture in 1918 and initially manufactured electrical insulation material. Electrical insulating varnishes were also produced from the 1920s. As the company's headquarters were largely destroyed by air raids in the final stages of World War II, the headquarters were relocated to Osaka Prefecture in 1946. In the same year, the production of simple black tape started. In the years that followed, the sales network was expanded and the production program was supplemented by additional adhesive and protective tapes and other electrically insulating products. The company has been listed on the stock exchange since 1962. It was not until 1988 that the name was changed from Nitto Electric Industrial Co. to Nitto Denko Corporation. In 2006 the company headquarters moved to Osaka.

The products offered today include insulation materials made of rubber foam, polarization films for LCD monitors, industrial separating membranes, medical active substance plasters or protective films and adhesive tapes for vehicle construction.

Nitto Denko is the main sponsor of the ATP Finals in London in 2019.
