Nizar Touzi
Nizar Touzi (* 1968 in Tunisia ) is a Tunisian-French mathematician who specializes in financial mathematics and stochastic analysis .
Touzi is a professor at the École polytechnique and its Center de Mathématiques Appliquées (CMAP).
He was visiting professor at Oxford and Toronto (Fields Institute).
He is known for results in control problems for stochastic differential equations with applications to derivatives including the development of numerical methods.
In 2010 he was invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Hyderabad (Second Order Backward SDEs, Fully non-linear PDEs, and applications in Finance). In 2007 he received the Best Young Researcher Award in Finance from the Europlace Institute of Finance and in 2012 he received an Advanced Grant from the ERC . In 2012 he received the Louis Bachelier Prize.
