Noel Stookey
Noel "Paul" Stookey (born December 30, 1937 in Baltimore ) is an American singer, known as "Paul" of the folk group Peter, Paul and Mary . The other two members of the trio were Peter Yarrow and, until her death in 2009, Mary Travers .
Solo projects
After the (provisional) dissolution of the group in 1970, he was active as a solo musician. Best known is The Wedding Song (There is Love) , which he wrote for Peter Yarrow's wedding. The lyrics of his songs are mostly about Christian and social issues.
Stookey is married and lives in Maine with his wife, Betty .
