Noel Van Horn

Noel Van Horn (born July 6, 1968 in San Francisco ) is an American comic artist , son of William Van Horn and illustrator of Disney comics .

Life

Noel Van Horn was born on July 6, 1968 in San Francisco to an American and a Canadian. Due to the work of his father, he was also very interested in comics and drawings. In 1980 the family moved to Vancouver .

After finishing school, he studied at the Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver, where he majored in animation. He drew numerous of his own characters and alienated some realistic scenes from other comics. After Van Horn went to San Diego in 1992 , he met Bob Foster and Byron Erickson from Egmont , who took him to the Disney comics. After 18 months of training, the illustrator began working on Mickey Mouse stories in 1993, although since 2010 he has only been drawing stories with the Ducks . He has a wife, Jaqueline, and a son named Robert.

Style and role models

Van Horn specialized in Mickey Mouse stories early on in his time at Disney, while he also liked Inspector Issel and Balduin Beutelschneider , Sylvester Shyster , for drawing . He also likes to orientate himself on Dave Stevens , creator of Rocketeer , and Floyd Gottfredson .
