List of rose varieties

Noisette roses , also Rosa indica noisettiana , were the first climbing roses to bloom in the USA at the beginning of the 19th century. John Champney bred the variety 'Champney's Pink Cluster' , presumably from Rosa × chinensis 'Old Blush' and a musk rose , Rosa moschata . In 1817 his neighbor Philippe Noisette selected 'Blush Noisette' from seedlings of this variety, which gave the whole rose group its name. The later crossing of 'Parks' Yellow China' resulted in yellow climbing roses, which are still popular today.
