Non Kao Noi

Non Kao Noi ( Thai : โนน เก่า น้อย ) is an archaeological find site east of Kumphawapi Lake district Kumphawapi the province of Udon Thani in the northeast region of Thailand , known as Isan .

Excavation history

In 1980, Charles Higham and A. Kijngam discovered an area east of Lake Kumphawapi, which is about 75 meters by 50 meters and revealed five burials.

Finds

Greenstone amulets have been found at the feet of a dead person, others have clay vessels. Among these are black vessels with chased motifs and smaller red vessels with painted patterns. The heads of the buried face to the north-west or south-west. Although no carbon dating has been recorded, one can deduce from the ceramics the time of Ban Chiang .
