Nordens Ark ( Swedish for " Ark of the North") is an animal park in Sötenäs (Sweden), the aim of which is to protect, breed and, if possible, reintroduce rare Nordic animal breeds. Visitors can visit snow leopards , eagle owls , reindeer , wolves and many other animals from the Nordic countries. The animals live in spacious enclosures with lush vegetation and retreats for the animals.

The total area of ​​the park is approx. 120 ha, of which only about 40 ha are accessible to visitors.

farm

A farm has been attached to "Nordens Ark" for several years . In the farm, rare domestic animal breeds from Scandinavia and other northern regions are kept and bred under ecological conditions.

location

The zoo "Nordens Ark" and the associated farm are located in the Bohuslän region of western Sweden, around 100 km north of Gothenburg .
