North Korean Cup Season
The North Korean Cup takes place six times a year on different occasions.
Cup system
Not much is known about the North Korean cup system, but it is known that the national cup is played several times a year on different occasions. Since 2010, the DPR Korea League clubs have met around six times a year for 3–4 weeks to determine the cup winner in a tournament (in which everyone competes against everyone else). The overall winner of the cup season results from the total of the tournaments won.

- Mangyongdae Prize Tournament (early May)
- Mankyongdae Cup (March-April)
- New Years Tournament (beginning of January)
- Pochonbo Torch Prize (May 5th to June 4th)
