Norev is a French brand name under which toy and model cars have been sold since 1954 . As of 2019, these are available on the market in 1:12, 1:18, 1:43, 1:50, 1:64 and 1:87 scales . These model cars are still sold today by the company of the same name, Norev, based in Vaulx-en-Velin in the eastern conurbation of Lyon . As of 2017, the company employs around 300 employees a turnover of around 14 million euros and sales around 1,800,000 model cars.

The brand and company name is based on the reverse spelling of the family name Véron of the three brothers with the first name Paul, Joseph and Émile, who founded the company in September 1945. Émile Véron also founded the Majorette company in 1961 , whose brand name currently belongs to the Simba-Dickie-Group , to which the Märklin company also belongs.
