Norma Farber First Book Award

The Norma Farber First Book Award has been presented annually by the Poetry Society of America (PSA) since 1994 "for a first book of original poetry written by an American and published in either a hard or soft cover in a standard edition during the calendar year" .

The poetry prize was donated by the family and friends of the poet Norma Farber . A copy of the books awarded the prize will be sent to the PSA sponsoring members. The award is endowed with 500 dollars in prize money.
