Norman Gay

Norman Gay (born before 1970) is a former film editor .

Life

Gay initially worked as an assistant editor at the end of the 1960s; in 1973 his first productions followed as an independent film editor. He was part of the editing team for the horror film The Exorcist , for whose work he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Editing in 1974 . By the 1990s, Gay was involved in around 20 television and cinema productions.

After 1993 he stopped working as an editor and worked for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, which was merged with the Screen Actors Guild to form SAG-AFTRA in 2012 .

Gay is married and has one daughter.
