The standards committee for round steel chains (NRK) in the DIN German Institute for Standardization e. V. is responsible for national, European and international standardization in the field of round steel chains (round steel chains for general purposes, chain slings, hoist chains, conveyor chains, bucket elevator chains, anti-skid chains and lashing chains), individual parts and accessories.
Standard areas
Standardization work is defined for the following areas and areas:
- Round steel chains (round steel chains for general purposes, chain slings, hoist chains, conveyor chains, bucket elevator chains, anti-skid chains and lashing chains),
- of the items and
- of accessories.
There is close cooperation between the NRK and the Mining Standards Committee (FABERG) to prepare standards for round steel chains, individual parts and accessories in the mining sector . For the development of standards for round steel chains (seamless anchor chains, anchor chains - grade NM, anchor bar chains), individual parts and accessories on ships of the German Navy (VG standards), merchant ships (DIN and ISO standards) and in inland shipping (CEN standards ), the NRK supports the Ship and Marine Technology Standards Committee (NSMT). The standardization of steels for welded round steel chains and individual chain parts takes place in close cooperation with the Iron and Steel Standards Committee (FES). In these cases, the NRK takes on the sponsorship of the relevant standards.
