Nostoc Flats
Coordinates: 78 ° 3 ′ S , 163 ° 41 ′ E
The Nostoc Flats are a small glacial plain on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies east of the southern foothills of the Joyce Glacier .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1994 after the cyanobacteria of the genus Nostoc , which colonize the plain.
