The Thuringian Chamber of Notaries is the Chamber of Notaries , i.e. the professional association of notaries authorized in the Free State of Thuringia .

On September 29, 1990, the founding meeting of the Thuringia Chamber of Notaries took place on the basis of the regulation on the activities of notaries in their own practice of June 20, 1990. Hans-Georg Schmidt , who is also Honorary President of the Thuringia Chamber of Notaries, was elected as the first President .

The Thuringian Chamber of Notaries is a public corporation over which the Thuringian Ministry for Migration, Justice and Consumer Protection is responsible. As of January 1, 2017, it had 73 members.
