Novi Film ( Serbo-Croatian for: New Film ; later also called Crni talas = Black Wave ) was a movement in Yugoslav fiction in the 1960s that differentiated itself from the style that had been customary until then, which was based on Italian neorealism , without appearing as a uniform style .

Major representatives were Boštjan Hladnik , Aleksandar Petrović and Dušan Makavejev .
