history

In 1999 the first Novotergum Center was founded under the name Center for Health Promotion in the legal form of a GmbH. The company was based in Bochum. The majority shareholder and first managing director was the qualified sports scientist Christian Barth. In 2002 it was approved for health insurance . In 2004 the name of the Zentrum für Gesundheitförderung GmbH was changed to Novotergum Holding AG. In 2012, the holding filed for bankruptcy. 18 of the 56 existing physiotherapy centers were closed and the holding company changed its name to Novotergum AG. This is divided into NT North and NT South GmbH and currently operates 26 physiotherapy centers both in North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg.
