Nu (Champasak)

Nu (full throne name Somdet Brhat Chao Anuya ; * in the late 18th century; † 1811 ) was ruler of the Siam- dependent Kingdom of Champasak for three days in 1811 .

Nu was the son of Prince No Mueang and thus grandson of King Pothi of Champasak (r. 1737 to 1791). Nu was at court and in Bangkok trained, where he was a hostage at the court of King Rama I was staying. In 1811 he was appointed king by the Siamese, but he died three days after his enthronement. He left three sons.

This was followed by a two-year interregnum , which was ended with the appointment of King Phom Ma Noi (r. 1813 to 1820).
