Nuku (also: Nugu ) is a small island in the north of Tongatapu in the Pacific . It belongs politically to the Kingdom of Tonga .

The motu is north of Tongatapu. The nearest islands are Fukave and 'Ata .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Tongatapu Group, Nuku is occasionally hit by cyclones .
