The Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia (translated Where you have the books of our country , Danish Det grønlandske Landsbibliotek , English Public and National Library of Greenland ) is the public library for the Greenlandic capital Nuuk and the central library of Greenland . In 2016, their inventory included around 56,700 materials. A subdivision of the library is Groenlandica , the National Library of Greenland.

Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia was founded in 1956 as the "State Library" in Nuuk. In 1968 the original building fell victim to a fire. In 1976 the library was reopened in a new building. The facility has been the Greenlandic National Library since 1980. Her Groenlandica collection was moved to the University of Greenland's new Ilimmarfik campus in 2008 .
