Well

Nunt denotes a sweet from the Jewish kitchen . The candy is especially served on the Jewish festival of Purim , when it is customary to give friends and neighbors homemade sweets. Nunt is traditionally made from a dark forest honey , which is boiled with sugar and placed under the roughly crumbled walnuts . The finished nun is painted on a damp, smooth board or an oiled marble slab and cut into small diamonds after cooling.

Nunt variants consist of poppy seeds and walnuts, or the honey is mixed with ginger or sesame .
