Nuove-Roman is a planned language . It was developed by the Linz teacher Johann Puchner and self-published in 1879. With Nuove-Roman, Puchner wanted to develop a planned language that would be widely accepted, so he based his new language on Italian, Spanish, Latin, French, English and German.

The language was mentioned in literature, among others, in One language for the world by Mario Pei.
