Nursel Duruel

Nursel Duruel (* 1941 in Şarki Karaağaç, Kütahya , Turkey ) is a Turkish journalist and author who has received several awards for her stories.

Duruel studied archeology in Istanbul and started working as a radio journalist in 1961. In 1979 she began publishing as a narrator. Her short story Geyikler, Annem ve Almanya , which won Turkish literary prizes in 1981 and 1983 , was also translated into German ( Die Hirsche, Meine Mutter und Deutschland , 1984).
