Nuytsia is a botanical journal published by the Western Australian Herbarium .

Nuytsia publishes articles on systematic botany, with preference given to articles related to Western Australian flora. According to its own information, almost every fifth first description of a Western Australian plant species was published in Nuytsia.

The magazine was first published in 1970. Since then, up to two issues have been published annually, with sometimes no issue at all appearing in a year. The editor is Alex R. Chapman , a research scientist at the herbarium .

The magazine was after the plant genus Nuytsia from the family of loranthaceae named (Loranthaceae). The only species of this monotypical genus, the parasitic tree species Nuytsia floribunda , is considered a Christmas tree in Western Australia , as its flowering time with showy orange flowers falls precisely during Christmas time (which is in the southern hemisphere in summer).
