The municipality ( Local Municipality ) Nxuba was part of the Amathole District , Eastern Cape Province in South Africa . 24,264 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​2,732 km² (as of 2011). The seat of the local government was Adelaide .

Together with the then Local Municipality Nkonkobe , this administrative district formed the Fort Beaufort Education District (German about: Fort Beaufort School District). In 2016, both parishes were merged to form Raymond Mhlaba parish .

The motto of the congregation was Together in Unity , "Together in unity".
