Conversano is a city in the Italian region of Apulia and its metropolitan city Bari , about 30 km southeast of Bari , 7 km from the Adriatic Sea and about 219 meters above sea level . 26,122 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) live there on an area of 126 km².
history
Conversano was an important county in the Middle Ages, whose counts were related by marriage to the Norman rulers in the Kingdom of Sicily and the Kingdom of England . Among the counts are:
