The O'Kane Canyon ( English ) is a deeply cut gorge west of the O'Kane Glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies between Mount Baxter and Eskimo Point on the east side of the Eisenhower Range .
The southern group of the 1962 to 1963 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named him after the New Zealand photographer HD O'Kane, who was stationed at Scott Base from 1961 to 1962 and on several reconnaissance flights to create aerial photographs of this area participated.
