OUTtv is an English language television station based in Toronto , Canada . The owners are the companies Shavick Entertainment (55.9%), Pink Triangle Press (24.94%), Peace Point Entertainment Group (15%) and other small owners (4.16%) (as of 2009).

The television station went on air on September 7, 2001 as PrideVision TV (owner at the time: Headline Media Group ). With this launch date, the TV station will be the world's first cable TV station to offer a 24-hour continuous program to LGBT people in a country. In November 2004 the television channel PrideVision was restructured and renamed OUTtv.

In April 2008 the LGBT TV channel OUTTV went on air nationwide in the Netherlands. This is an independent television station that works in cooperation with the Canadian television station.

In 2017 OUTtv would like to start broadcasting in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
