OWIIIa
The OWIIIa (also Ost-West-Straße 3a ) is a partially motorway-like connecting road from Kirchlinde through Dortmund's northern part to Asseln . It offers a quick way to the center of Dortmund.

The motor road begins as Brackeler Straße in Asseln, runs as K17 over Borsigplatz and crosses Dortmund's northern city as K16 under the name Mallinckrodtstraße. To the south of the city port , Mallinckrodtstrasse will again become a motor road. This crosses the A 45 at junction 4 in the border area between Marten , Rahm and Kirchlinde . Then it ends in the Bärenbruch industrial park in Kirchlinde.
In 2007, the first plans for the extension of the OWIIIa in Asseln began . According to the plans, the street is to bypass the city districts of Asseln and Wickede and Unna-Massen to the north and connect to the federal motorway 1 in Unna . However, the construction has not yet been completed.
Local public transport
A short distance on the OWIIIa is connected to the U47 tram in the direction of Aplerbeck and Westerfilde.
The 460 bus also runs on the street. This connects Kirchlinde directly with the city center.
