history

The Oase Dropshotters Squash and Rackets Club was founded on June 17th, 1981. In its first season, the club provided two men's and women's teams and a youth team. Eight years after the club was founded, the Dropshotters rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1989, followed by promotion to the 1st Bundesliga in 1990. Thanks to a pool of sponsors, the club was able to sign professional players such as Andre Maur , Stuart Hailstone and Andrew Danzey . After relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1992, the Dropshotters got into financial difficulties and were relegated to the Regionalliga in 1993.

Since 2008, the club's first men's team has been back in the Lower Saxony Oberliga.
