The Ob Canyon is a deep sea trench in the Davis Sea off the coast of Queen Marie Land in East Antarctica .

The name was given in 1958 at the suggestion of the Soviet oceanographer Vladimir Grigoryevich Kort (1913-1994) from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR . It is named after the ice breaker Ob , which was used as a research ship for Soviet Antarctic expeditions between 1955 and 1976.
