Oberdittmannsdorf
Oberdittmannsdorf is part of Dittmannsdorf in the Saxon community of Reinsberg in the district of central Saxony . The place is on the road from Dittmannsdorf to Oberschaar .
Oberdittmannsdorf was created by expanding Dittmannsdorf due to the construction of the Freital-Potschappel-Nossen narrow-gauge railway in 1899. When the railway line opened, the station had two crossing tracks . After the completion of the Klingenberg-Colmnitz-Oberdittmannsdorf narrow-gauge railway , the station was enlarged by three more tracks and became a crossing and branching station. It also had access to the local grain mill and a building material supply. There are still some farms on the road to Mohorn. On the road to Oberschaar you will find the exit from the village immediately behind the train station, on the road to Mohorn just behind the last farms.
In 1972 the train station had the aforementioned five tracks with the associated station buildings, which are no longer available today. The course of the former railway lines can still be clearly seen and is now used as a cycle path.
